About our Owners
The three owners of Milestone Apartments collectively have over 90 years experience serving residents in the real estate industry. They have been involved in developing over 50 projects across Canada ranging from luxury apartment buildings to hotels to seniors housing. With roots in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, their focus is now on creating luxury communities for active seniors in the Maritimes. As a privately held company with a commitment to hold properties long-term, the owners ensure every aspect of their buildings - from design to construction to management - ensure the best long-term experience for our residents. Milestone Apartments currently owns and operates nearly 400 residential units in Nova Scotia and has 300 units under development in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
About our President
Mark Bergman is the founder and President of Milestone Apartments and one of the owners. Mark’s day-to-day focus is supporting our managers and partners to deliver the best possible experience to our valued residents. Mark’s experience includes consulting Fortune 500 companies, developing multi-family real estate, and overseeing the management of commercial and residential real estate. Mark has a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario). Mark is also a licensed Realtor in Nova Scotia, a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and a graduate of the Real Estate Development Institute Foundation (REDI). As a Board Member of the Investment Properties Owners’ Association of Nova Scotia (IPOANS), Mark has served as Communications Chair and taught apartment management at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC).
